Strengths
Dedication
When I was 7 years old, many of my peers dreamed of being football players or firefighters or doctors. Me? I wanted to be the drum major of my high school marching band. Music is the first and greatest love of my life not only because it makes me feel alive, but because it makes all of our stories meaningful and connected.
I spent the next 11 years of my life working towards this goal. I started teaching myself how to conduct at age 10, rode my bike half an hour during the summers to watch rehearsals, and started playing saxophone at 12. When I joined at 14, I was the worst member of the band. I couldn’t march very well or frankly play very well, but I never gave up.
I focused on becoming better every year until finally in my junior year, I joined the leadership team that took our band to their first ever state championship and the next year, achieved my dream of being the drum major. I learned so much during this journey about hard work, time management, leadership, project management, organization, and so many other things.
This position may not have been an official professional one, but taught me more about being a professional than anything else I’ve ever done. This dedication, grit, and passion is what I hope to bring to your organization.
Futuristic
I have talent for envisioning future outcomes and inspiring others to see the future I see to create better teams, better products, a better life, and a better world not only for the organization I work for, but for the clients and communities we serve. I do this by combining my strong visions for the future with my skill to analyze market trends through data and research and seeking first to understand the clients I serve and helping them see how what I have to offer will change their situation for the better.
Individualistic
I am exceptional at keenly observing the strengths and motivations of each individual person I meet and each individual company I work with in order to understand how to build better teams, motivate people to complete projects more efficiently and with higher quality, and build lasting professional and personal relationships. Sometimes I also use it to predict when Icelandic geysers will go off, but only if the job requires it of course.
Ideation
Perhaps my greatest asset to your organization is my talent for not only coming up with innovative ideas and solutions to familiar and novel challenges, but connecting ideas that seem to have no connection at all. This has made me a successful manager, educator, salesman, and coordinator. In fact, not only do I not shy away from analyzing spreadsheets, working with numbers, and facing challenges, I welcome it with excitement and vigor.

Learner
I have a great desire to learn and continuously improve and I am very fast at adapting to new situations as a result. I am delighted by my journey to competence and am confident that even if I am not 100% knowledgeable about the job you hire me to do at the start, I will be very quickly. I like to feel like in expert in what I do, and am extremely resourceful when it comes to building knowledge I don’t currently possess.
Restorative
Whether it is figuring out the right solar system size for a homeowner, figuring out the fastest delivery routes to make the most money as a delivery driver, or solving interpersonal issues, I love solving problems. I am skilled at analyzing the symptoms, finding out what is wrong, and providing the best solution. Solving problems is when I feel the most energized and motivated to do my best work, and I want to solve problems for you.
